Swine Flu
The reality of the swine flu.
Swine Flu otherwise known as H1N1 Influenza A virus. As it would seem to me that, every year we have flu season and a new strain of the virus, would this not be considered a new strain of the flu virus. This year it’s the Swine flu, but wait every year we have many American who die from the flu. It is not because it is more deadly but most cases are from the people that get infected with the flu also having underlying illness. As with the normal flu, they say that the elderly, the very young, and the pregnant people are more at risk. Well that seems to be the case with the swine flu, so how does that make the swine flu different. Maybe it is because some of the genes in the swine flu are actually found in Pig influenza and as with pig influenza some of the genes in it are based from the normal human flu. So yes we can share our flu with the pigs and they can share with us. The reason that it does not happen so often is most farmers and livestock people vaccinate their animals for influenza there for helping to eliminate the crossover between the two.
Now we have a government that has made comments and has got involved in the so-called swine flu pandemic. With Obama getting involved in this people are starting to panic and they are looking for the government to save them. Well I think that it is another way for the government to control the American citizen through their fear and I think that it will not work for long. The flu is the flu and we go get shots every year for the flu to help with the symptoms but does the flu shot really guarantee that you will not get the swine flu nor does it actually guarantee that you will not die from the swine flu. NO, it does not. Your health and how you take care of yourself is what will get you through the flu season or Swine flu pandemic. Do not let the government control you through your fear I say take control of your life and lookout for number 1. We can all take the normal precautions this flu season and I bet we will do just fine.
