Swine Flu
This describes the horror of the H1N1 (swine flu) virus.
Swine Flu is a flu a virus that is said to be adapted from pigs. The virus eventually spread to be able to affect humans. The virus is just like a regular flu. It could include… coughing, fever, soar throat, vomiting, headaches etc. Now your children could be having all these symptoms but it could just be a regular cold or flu. Scientists are trying to find a vaccination for the virus by testing survivors of the flu and testing pigs.
The first case of Swine Flu started in Mexico during the time of mid april-may. It is said the first case was from a child. Soon Mexico had a huge outbreak of Swine Flu and they had to iscolate everybody. They closed beaches, pools, supermarkets, any place that involved many gatherings of people. This year they did not have a big party for the Mexican celebration of cinco de mayo. Instead people gatherd with their family’s and celebrated by themselfs. As of today places where people gather in Mexico are still closed.
The first two states in the U.S.A to be struck by the Swine Flu were California, and New York. The cities with the most Swine Flu cases were Los Angeles and New York City. Every other day there were more and more reports of the Flu being stated. People began to over react to this. They said everyone was dying and that this virus would wipe out most of the worlds population. The truth is Swine Flu in New York, California, and Mexico the majority of the people do not die.
Swine Flu today is getting much better doctors have a temporary cure. Also more and more people are surviving the flu. Also scientists say in another 4-6 months they will have a cure for the virus. They are also thinking about re-opening closed down schools in the United States and Mexico. We just have to hold on a little bit longer and everything will be fine.
For a virus that adapted from pigs it is very strong. No one knows how it adapted to humans but hopefully while scientists do research they will find out how and stop it from happening again. Remember to take yourself and your loved ones to the doctor if you have any flu symptoms to get the best chance of healing the virus.

umm… actually they have now found evidence that the first strand of the human swine flu was found in the US but yes before they found this out the first case was known in Mexico.
