The Most Horrible Diseases Ever to Tremble the World 3
Don’t doubt and don’t ask why. These weird and horrible diseases exist around us. They really make it difficult for those affected to live normal lives.
You may have read on my previous articles on The most horrible diseases ever to tremble the world, and The most horrible diseases ever to tremble the world 2 (or “weirdest and horrible diseases you never seen before”), and now, I bring you the third part of these horrible diseases. In this series, I’ll focus more on tumor.
Tumor is an abnormal growth of body tissue. It can either be non-cancerous (benign) or cancerous (malignant). When the body has a problem to divide cells, in which the balance of cell division is disrupted or the body has a problem with the immune system, there’s the tumor seen appearing from parts of the body. Most notable occurrences of the tumors are observed around the hand, leg, face, nose, and etc.

Chantal Sébire was a retired French teacher, who was diagnosed with esthesioneuroblastoma (a rare form of cancer) in 2000. She had suffered from this disturbing disease for years, but she refused to receive any medical treatment as she didn’t want to take the risk of medication or surgery. According to her, this was the most disturbing, unbearable, painful and disfiguring facial tumor disorder. She said that this extensive facial tumor “eat away” her sight, sense of taste and smell. Due to the extremely painful feeling, she decided to make a public appeal to Nicholas Sarkozy, the French president to permit her to die through euthanasia by saying that, “One would not allow an animal to go through what I’ve endured.” Nevertheless, her public appeal was turned down by the high court of Dyon, France. She was found dead in her house on March 19, 2008, and while observing her blood test, the autopsy confirmed that her death was caused by a toxic concentration of the drug Pentobarbital.

This unfortunate guy is from China, whose name is Huang Liqian. In 1990, he accidentally came across with the abnormal and bizarre growth on the back of his neck. At that moment, he thought that it was alright to ignore the tumor. However, when the time passed by, he discovered that the tumor continuously increased in its mass and weight. The scary thing about this growth was that it was growing in a tremendous speed! And eventually, the growth grew to the weight of 15kg (or 33 pound). He was then sent to the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing University of Medical Service in southwest China, and finally the huge tumor on his neck was successfully removed in 2007.

You never cease to amaze me Chan. great article. I wonder how “the man without a face” eats and sees. It’s a tremendous feat for him to go out in public and an amazing gesture of humility that he will not get the surgery.
Well done!

I had to collect myself before making this comment. Chan, everyday that I know you, I grow to respect you more and more. You did an outstanding job on this article. Thank you for presenting this info in a respectful way.
In years past, many greedy people used people just like these as profit side shows. Still, I see many articles painting these horrific diseases with labels like “freak.” That is rude and inhumane. We can all learn about the disease process and gain knowledge from these brave souls….without painting them as freak shows.
Your friend,
jo oliver

Very substantial piece here. In my country, poverty is the number one enemy of disease. Fortunate are those who have the financial means to seek medical attention. All my good wishes for people who suffer from these illnesses.

can I translate this article into Arabic, please?
Of course I will make sure to mention the source and add a link to your site.
I will take not answering as a yes..
thank you so much..

To Arab Girl,
You can only translate the first two paragraphs from this article into Arabic, and then you should leave a link to this article. It’s not right to translate the whole text as it’s similar to steal the copyright of my work.
I hope you understand the situation, but I admire you to ask for permission before doing so.
It’s always not right to copy the whole text of mine to other webpage which is considered as copyright impringement.
Thanks.

uh, I see.
The last thing I want is stealing someone else’s work. But translating articles is not stealing.I will mentioned that it is a translation for this work and the name of the author will be mentioned as well.
I am not trying to argue, but this article has effected me to unbelievable degree, and I wanted Arab people to read it and be grateful for what they have.
Anyway, it is your work and you have the right to refuse.
Thank you very much.

WHAT THE HELL CAUSES THE PEOPLE TO WAIT UNTIL THEIR CONDITION IS SO BAD THAT THEY DON’T EVEN RESEMBLE HUMANS ANYMORE? I means, YEAH I feel bad for them, but you have to be some kind of idiot not to seek medical help at any time after you notice the thing is huge. Guys, I know you my hate what i’m saying, but what they did to themselves is plain stupid.
