What Food Causes Gout: Do You Know?
Foods that contain increased levels of purines.
If you have ever suffered with the pain of a gout attack then you will be open to some ideas that will help out to ease that severe pain. Changing your diet is the first thing that you must be doing to help reduce the build up of uric acid crystals in your body.
One of the main causes of increased uric acid is eating foods that contain increased levels of purines. Over a period of time, the uric acid that isn’t expelled transformed into sharp crystals that get stored in the body and find their mode into the joints.
Most of the people want an immediate solution for any problem, while dealing with medical situations such as gout this isn’t always possible or advisable. Your gout didn’t actually come into view suddenly, it has taken months and maybe years of eating the inappropriate things possibly coupled with a genetic predisposition to appear. So expecting your gout to just be fixed immediately is unlikely isn’t it.
Uric acid comes about as the body breaks down purines in foods, to prevent or fight gout, the uric acid in the body should be brought down to safe levels. Practically, in controlling levels of uric acid in the body, you must be required to cut or altogether eliminate eating foods rich in purines.

Most of us love to enjoy a beer or a glass of wine every now and then, but that enjoyable hour might be part of what is causing the extremely painful gout attacks that you are experiencing.

Alcohol is usually high in purines and your kidneys have to work overtime to deal with the entire resulting uric acid.
Refined carbohydrates and saturated fats give a boost to uric acid levels in the body as they have a way of being kept in the body. High-protein diets must be avoided as the amino acids in protein interfere with the proper function of the kidney in eliminating uric acid.
While it may all seem negative, there are things you can include to your diet that will actually help out to reduce the level of uric acid in your body and this decline should help reduce the regularity and severity of your gout attacks.

First let me say how well written this acticle is and how well researched it is. I suffered from gout for years so I know you know what you are talking about.
Let me add that stress may also be a factor. I haven’t had an attack of gout since I quit my last job over a year ago and started blogging for a living. I hated that job and I love blogging. Nothing else changed. I still drink plenty of beer. I think the job was giving me gout.

Thanks Hogan, for some good additional information. I also hated my previous job, I have worked there for almost 8 yrs, but working there the time schedule is very long, I don’t have time for my family, work pressure is too much, and as a result I got ill and I was hospitalized for 3 months. So now Iam happy that from the last 18 months Im free from my job and doing my own business from home. Thanks once again Hogan…
