You and Your Health
This is an alternative view on health. It is something people should think about if they want longevity and more quality of life.
When it comes to you and your health, it should be a matter to take seriously, and not wait until serious health problems set in. Most people refuse to take control of their health and eat properly. Diet is determined by what is around us, and what tastes good. But, think about this: most of us follow the standard american diet, which is the sad diet, eat alot of fast food along with junk food, and look where it has put the health of the nation. We are plagued by heart disease, cancer, diabetes and the list goes on.
What if there was a way we could change our own health by following a different set of rules? Have you ever heard of Strangler’s Pyramid? At the top, milk products are optional, then there are 2-4 servings of lean protein, like eggs, soy and chicken. Next come whole grains: oats, rye, brown rice.(3-5 servings) Legumes such as different sorts of beans, peas.(2-3 servings) Whole fruits like berries (2-3 servings). Vegetables like bok choy, spinach, romaine lettuce (5-7 servings). This way of eating is supported by the latest research to healthful eating in the book Natural Healing.
Also, alot of the population, believe it or not have food intolerance which cause a host of problems like celiac’s, aches and pains, lactose intolerance to name a few. So, if you have symptoms like heartburn, an unsettled stomach, bloating, etc. pay close attention. You may have to follow an elimination diet to find the source. Wheat, especially refined, white flour and sugar, milk, eggs, and seafood are very common. However, there are also books on eating for your blood type that may help eliminate the foods that are causing you problems.
The last thing I’d like to mention are parasitic infections. They can cause a host of problems and they commonly get into your system from someone who’s handled your food and not washed their hands. This is not something we want to think about, but something you may want to look into. Parasitic cleanses are the last resort after you’ve done a fast and colon cleanse.
You may want to start with a fast on fruits and vegetables and document how you feel, and add different foods as you go along. Also, probiotics, vitamen C and a gentle colon cleanse such as pysillium husk. Massage therapy helps to get the toxins out of your system and as more time passes, you will find your pants becoming looser, you will gradually have more energy and will feel much better.
