Online Jobs for People with Disabilities
We have all gotten those emails promising big money to be made on the web. Almost all of them ask for money or expect you to sell things for them. However, these sites are 100% free and do not require any selling or web design knowledge.
Critics have claimed that the internet is evil. However, World Wide Web allows many people opportunities that were previously unavailable to them. Internet provides jobs for the disabled, and telecommuting jobs for anyone who is interested and is willing to really work.
Years ago, these kinds of jobs were few and far between, but recently many major corporations are developing telecommuting jobs and online employment scenarios for many reasons.
One big advantage is that if an employee is telecommuting, the need for maintaining work space for that individual is no longer necessary, thus saving the company on overhead costs.
There are lots of ways to make money online without having to sell on ebay and that sort of thing.
Writing and Photography
Try online publishing. Whether you are an accomplished writer or a novice, this is are really good way to make money on the internet without dealing with all those selling schemes and get rich quick routines. In fact, you can even make money on interesting pictures you have taken.
As always, write about what you know. The subject matter can be just about anything. You can even put your favorite recipes and pictures online and get paid every time they are viewed.
You can write about your personal thoughts and original poetry. If you don’t think you are that creative, you can write commentaries on movies, television shows and even reviews and tips on video games or amusing stories that you have experienced.
Both of the following sites are free to join and publish through and are very user friendly when it comes to publishing and editing your work. You don’t even have to have any software because you can write you work with their online editors.
Triond
Triond.com is a great site. I strongly recommend checking them out. I have been writing for them for two years and have never had a problem with being paid. The best part is that Triond has no minimum earnings requirement in order to get paid through PayPal. All you have to do is write the text and Triond designs your page and arranges for the advertising so you don’t have to know a thing about web page design.
You can either use their online editor boasting an excellent toolbar. Using the online editor makes it a snap to add images or imbed a YouTube video in your articles. Its toolbar has buttons similar to Microsoft Word and has a preview feature.
You can even drag and drop of copy and paste into the text box. Inserting links are incredibly easy. You can highlight any text and choose the insert link icon and it will walk you through the whole process.
They have a table that tells you your article statistics and has good tutorials and the staff are very supportive and helpful. Your profile page is automatically updated with your newly published work and is easily customized.
They have a great messaging feature to make it easy to communicate with the other writers as well. Another great feature is that you can also edit your writing after publication.
Bukisa
Bukisa.com is pretty much a Triond clone. A nice page is automatically created and updated for you that lists your articles with a brief intro that you write in the online editor.
They have an online editor that is similar to the Triond one and your writing will go live usually within a few minutes after submitting. You can edit them after publishing and your articles can even get raises when you have readers rate them and when they put more advertising on your pages. This site also publishes how-to videos and even audios.
If writing isn’t your thing, try some of the Paid to read email sites, survey sites. If you don’t get the results so are looking for, try rewording the search phrase and maybe even different search engines. I am partial to altavista.com myself.
Customer Service Agents
There are a number of legitimate online positions available. Keep in mind that when I say legitimate I mean that there is never a fee charged for any of the positions mentioned in this article. You can read more about online customer agent positions and submit applications at:
- alpineaccess.com – requires a high speed connection.
- Arise.com – another good site for at home employment. They also offer a four week training program.
- cloud10corp.com – also offers online part time positions.
- workingsol.com - this is call center work but you would be working at home.
It is time that the U.S. Government gets involved with this new concept. By encouraging U.S. corporations to develop telecommuting jobs, countless tax dollars could very well be saved by making gainful employment possible for those who previously were forced to sit at home doing nothing while trying to survive on inadequate Social Security check.

Hi,
I was in a car accident that left me with a speech impairment. I have a A.S. and B.A. in Business Management. I have not found a employer that will hire me. Employers say that because I lack experience they will not hire me. I think it has more to do with my disability. Working from home may be option for me. Please tell me how to get in touch with these companies. Thank you

Google is working out well too, I am blogging and collecting google adsense revenue…….the good news is that it is something you can do without having to spend any money to start a business…..I have never paid a penny for any of these venues.

Thankyou for the information. I too have been very frustrated…I feel like I have been having an Identity Crisis for some time now. Ten years ago, sitting at the top of my game, as an Executive Director of an Alcohol and dDrug TX Center, making 80,000 a year…..than I got hurt and than sick and than lost everything..it took forever to start climbing back out of all that (everone tells me I should write a book about my life….) Anyway I have done things like Read for a company that grades papers, substitute teach, taxes, and a few Customer Service jobs here and there….oh let me not forget Surveys. I also have five childrn and now six Grandchildren, but I am so young in my mind. I have so much mental energy, ideas, creativety but I cant keep up wotmyself physically and yet KI feel like i can if Ijust do that onething, but i cant seem to figure out what it is. I have been told to go back into my field, I guess I lost so much confidence it has been difficult to go inot that direction. Does this make sense. Oh Ifeel such grief about the loss of m career. I had worked so hard for. Can you imagine, a single parent, five children qand all the sacrifices, me and MY FAMILY made to get me through college and on to Graduate school to get to the point where I could get a job whereby I could take care of myself and my children and than boom boom boom, to finally get there and than lose everything. I think I got the wind knocked out of me so hard I cant seem to get back up. It has occured to me to start my own business, or to write a grant, many different ideas like I said lots of energy lots of creativety)….than I might get a bad bout ofpain, and get sidetracked. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis which is a treatable disease for those who can afford the right medications and other regimines, and of course all that takes money…..sure would be nice to be making that 80,000 a year now (smile). I will not give into self pity though because I really do believe there are answers, not only for me but for al of us. we just have to kee on putting one foot in front of the other doing the next right thing, until we figure it out, and reach out for help as we go along, which is what I am doing….this was a really neat chance occurance. So if anyone has any ideas, anything you can thing of I can do either at home, or something else occurs to you that might help me to find some supplemental income, (I do get Social Security, Thank God….and medicare, no medicaid…..wish I did ….it would help me so much with some of my medicines. Well God Bless all of you , any ideas can be sent to me at Franco775@msn.com , and I will keep coming back here. I thankyou, Diane
