Can’t Get to the Gym, But Still Want to Get Back Into That Bathing Suit?
Some awesome healthy tips to get you back fast.

For me, weight is a big deal. For my body has extreme fluctuations of weight. Some of those reasons contribute to my huge appetite, and my awesome desire for food. I LOVE pasta, doughnuts, red meat, and my all time favorite candy! I used to consume pasta, redmeat and candy just about every single day. My portions of food was two and a half times the recommended portion. Being a soccer player, i needed all these foods being an athlete. Just recently i quit soccer to focus on my academic studies, going from vigorous work outs 4 times a week for an hour and a half, to working out by walking a couple miles a week. I’m not going to deny it, I am a slug, but in the change in my daily lifestyle I realized I had to change somethings, that is if I was willing to maintain my weight for bathing suit season! In my lifestyle change I experienced loosing 38% of my muscle mass, I also lost 8 pounds of muscle in that.
Here are some things I did to change everything!:
- Drink lots of WATER! WATER, WATER, WATER IS EVERYTHING! (not only is it good for you it doesn’t stick to you like sodas.
- Take midol for bloating or diurex.These products shed off excess water on your body that you do not need. ( available at any pharmacy, ex. target, walgreens, cvs, walmart.) I lost an extra 4 pounds of strict water weight with these! Take the recommended dose first thing in the morning and before lunch hour. (these products are completely safe and unless you have serious medical conditions ask your doctor about it first, my mother’s doctor suggested diurex for her since her blood pressure medication causes her to retain excess water).
- Instead of having those late night icecream craves buy a pack of strawberry pops (available at any grocery stores) These popscicles are delicous and great for you! They are made of nothing but natural flavors and lots of strawberrys, they are soft and somtimes have delicous, juicy chunks of strawberrys in them! Strawberrys are a highly reccommended fruit for healthy weight loss, and you get your full daily fruit serving in just one pop!
- Stretch!Everymorning take a minute to touch your toes, also stretch your hamstring/groin it will makeyou feel looser, leaner, and if practiced religously you will loose some size off your waist from touching your toes.
- Don’t go COLD TURKEY!!!! Indulge every once and a while! Your working hard and keeping up your look, reward yourself!
- Substitute deli meats like ham for turkey,ham is salty and very tastey, but heck! Turkey is too!! Turkey is also much leaner and lower in fat!
- Less salt!Try not to add so much salt to your foods, if you do love salt like me! Try sea salt. Seasalt is much saltier in lower quantities vs. the general salt you use a hand full of! A little goes a long way with this stuff!
- Salads:Sure salads are awesome for you! But lighten up that ranch dressing! The salad is great for you, but the thick creamy dressings defeat the purpose of having salads. Try some vinegaretts, my favorites are balsamic, italian and rasberry vinegarette is awesome!
- Do not weigh yourself!Paying too much attention to the weight you want to loose will depleat your earnings!
Just some few lifestyle changes are all it takes! These I hope will allow you to feel more comfortable in your suit this summer, and allow you to enjoy yourself with your friends or your family without the worry!
