Five Facts About Your Feet

The bare essentials of running.

1. When running barefoot, the foot works naturally and more efficiently to distribute the pressure of landing and launching actions not mimicked when cushioned by a shoe. It’s more comfortable, too. Think running around naked on a blistering summer afternoon.

2. Training barefoot makes runners’ feet stronger. But you can’t go around sprinting wearing only socks! So, a shoe that takes off the natural mechanics of one’s foot creates a force that builds muscle.

3. Barefoot populations in Africa show that there were barely any injuries in their type of community.  Except for calluses, probably.

4. The midsole and outsole of existing shoes take control of the foot because of their rigidity. Relieveing a lot of tht tension by cutting out the midsole makes the foot more agile and relaxed–just like a compy foot massage.

5. You know how toothaches sometimes cause migraines? The same somewhat applies to feet as well. Stronger feet lead to stronger over all performance in term’s of one’s ankles, knees, hips–all the way up the kinematic change.
