How to Practice and Train Your Muscles at Home

If you spend most of your time at home, watching TV, working on the computer you should really read this. It helped me, as I hope it will you.

Sometimes it’s hard to stay in shape if you are a computer addict or don’t want or can’t go outside. The most important practices, if you are training at home are the push ups and the lift ups. I trained basketball for seven years, I went through a lot hard training, but when I finally decided to quit I had a lot of free time that I spent watching TV or on the comp. I even felt that I’m starting to get out of shape, that I could no longer keep running for a long time. I needed to get back into shape fast or I might be ruined forever. That’s when I started practicing at home.

It may look very easy, but it isn’t. You need to make a plan: It’s best to train every day, or if you just started, every second day. The first week you should do 10 to 15 push ups in three series. Then at least 20 lift ups, also in three series. There is also another practice that is good for the muscles on the back. You lay down on your stomach. You need something to hold your legs. Then you lift the upper part of your body up and down for, in the beginning 20 times. This is also done in three series. The best training schedule is this:

-         First 10 to 15 push ups

-         First 20 lift ups

-         First 20 of the third practice

-         Second series…

-         Third series…

Every two weeks you should increase the amount of practices you do. Example:

-         First two weeks: 10 push ups, 20 lift ups, 20 of the other practise

-         Next two weeks: 12, 25, 25

-         Nest two weeks: 15, 30, 30…

If you do this you will not only keep being in shape, you will also get stronger and better prepared for physical effort. Remember, the more and longer you work out, the more your muscles will get stronger and you will also look better.

While training try not to concentrate on the pain you feel and don’t ever give up on doing it. Personally, I like to listen to music while I work out. Makes it easier to do.
