Reasons Why to Exercise and Feeling Better About Yourself
This is my first article and it describes the exterior aspect (the way your body looks) of why you should exercise. It doesn’t really go into the health issues because I feel there are enough of those articles. This article will help you find a way to feel better about yourself and how you can raise your self esteem if you need to,or just how to make your life better.I will be posting more articles giving work outs and tips.
If you are like many people (including me) you want to begin working out and getting ripped, but you can’t seem to get off the couch or the computer. Why?Probably because you lack motivation. You have no idea of how working out can have a huge positive impact on your everyday life.Working out will not simply give you a better looking body,it will make your life better. Its true that we are all made different and should love ourselves the way we are, but we should still take care of ourselves. You should not only accept the way your body looks, but find what you like about it and be open for improvement.
Accepting how you are means accepting things about your body that you can’t change. For example I have a friend that eats like crazy, I mean like he eats double or triple portions of lunch at the cafeteria, yet he still skinny and has a six pack.I on the other hand, eat a decent amount of food ,not alot but not to little to leave me hungry, and I don’t seem to get that six pack even after working out. I must accept that I can’t get a six pack as easily as my friend, but I will keep working on it.You must accept how you are but not give up.I can not change my metabolism by very much (you can raise your metabolism ,which is the rate at which you burn calories, by drinking lots of water)but I can get that six pack I want so badly if I try hard enough.Accepting yourself the way you are will make you feel better about yourself.By the way for you all that are interested in improving your personal life, the opposite sex is attracted to self confidence.
Some people are too hard on themselves and can’t seem to accept themselves, yet others accept themselves too much. I have met guys who complain about how they can’t seem to find a “good looking enough” girl for them, yet they don’t work out,and are obese. Now, I have no problem with obese people, even though obesity is life threatening but that’s besides the point. If you are not exactly what you want to be, don’t just give up and say “oh well, this is how I was made and there is nothing wrong with that”. Of course there is nothing wrong with that but that doesn’t meant there isn’t room for improvement.Even if you think you have a good physique working out won’t hurt, give it a shot.
Finding something wrong with your body is easy.I for example don’t like my head because I think is to big,I don’t like my stomach because I feel it is not sculpted enough,I also don’t like my calves because I think they are too skinny.I bet you can easily think of something you don’t like about your body. How about finding something good about it?Many people always complain about the way their body looks and seldom look at the good things about it.I for example like that I’m tall,I like my biceps,I like my face. Now,there is difference between being conceded and between appreciating your body.Being conceded means always telling everyone about your body.Appreciating your body mean finding out what you like about it and keeping it in mind (and telling some people if it you want to).Appreciating your body will make you better about yourself and trust me,the days will seem shorter.
Finally, working out a couple of minutes a day (15 minutes should do it for starters) can immensely improve your athletic performance. This could help you do better during P.E. classes if you are in school,or help your performance for that sport, mixed martial arts class or race you’ve been wanting join.Exercising and improving your athletic performance will just blow your self esteem through the roof. Wether you want to be that kid that is always picked for the sport games, or you want to meet the standards for push ups, if you work hard enough you can reach your goals!
