The Benefits of Pushups
You want to get in shape, but when it comes to push ups, you’ll moan and groan.
But, for the price of a little pain, you will get many benefits, which you will keep for life. Hopefully learning these benefits will motivate you.
So, whats so good about push ups?
First, they work almost every one of your upper body muscles, including chest muscles, forearms, biceps, triceps, abs, and glutes. It also works out the most important muscle of your body, the heart. Pushups also work out some of your lower body muscles, such as the quads, calves, hamstrings, and some feet muscles.
How convenient is it?
Pushups is the most convienient excercise, other than maybe situps. You don’t need anything at all. No equipment, just your body is all you need. Personally though, i prefer doing pushups on a slightly cushioned surface, for example a carpet, or a gymnasium floor (they usually have a thin layer of latex on top).
How do you do a good pushup?
Make sure your back is straight, and when you go down, make sure your elbows bend 90° or further. Also, go all the way up when you do.
Get Motivated!
Doing pushups can be very benefitial, but it’s hard to start. What you need is motivation. Just think, if you can start with doing just 5 pushups a day, and do one more a day, you’ll be able to do 35 in just one month! and it wont take more than three minutes a day. And by the end of three months, you’ll have hard and visual abs, just like on television, but you don’t even have to spend a penny!
