Three Months to a Better Body
Do you need to shed a few pounds before your big wedding day? If so, there are a few ways that you can lose a little weight and tone-up your body within three months.
It’s three months until your wedding day and you are starting to panic because your wedding dress is fitting a little snug around the waist. Don’t worry, you still have time to shed a few pounds and look your very best for your big day. You can easily shed 15-20 pounds over the next three months just by following a few simple steps.
Before you begin your weight loss journey, set a realistic goal for yourself. Decide how many pounds you want to lose and which parts of your body you want to tone up. Please keep in mind that it can be unhealthy to lose a lot of weight too quickly, so don’t over do it. For example, perhaps you have a desire to lose 20 pounds before your wedding day. Since your wedding is three months away, you may set a goal to lose about 1.5-2 pounds a week.
In order to lose weight you really need to eat less food. That does not mean that you should starve yourself, but you must eat in moderation. Your body needs three well-balanced, nutritional meals each day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The serving size for each dish should equal to the size of your fist or palm of your hand. You also need to eat plenty of vegetables and drink 6-8 glasses of water a day. In addition, try reducing your carbohydrate intake and stay away from things high in sugar (such as soda, fast food, potato chips, candy and french fries) and substitute these items with less fattening foods (such as fruit, low-fat yogurt, baked fish, unsweetened tea and rice cakes).
In addition to eating healthy, you also need to exercise. Try exercising 3-5 times per week, for at least 30 minutes each day. You can slowly add to your exercising routine, after you have started to build up your endurance and stamina. There are a variety of cardiovascular activities such as walking, jogging, aerobics, swimming, Pilates, tennis and biking. You might also want to try some strength training activities like crunches and lunges, 2-3 times per week.
Overall, by staying focused, eating healthy and exercising, you can achieve your weight loss goal and look good for your wedding day.
