Here are a few tips and activities to get your work out without even realizing you’re getting exercise.
It’s a pain in the neck to exercise for most of us, trust me I know, especially during summer time when it’s so hot. Here are a few tips and activities to get your work out without even realizing you’re getting exercise.
1) Walking. I know it seems obvious and for many it isn’t considered exercise, but take this into consideration, one hour and forty-five minutes walking burns 610 calories! I know, a lot eh? Now when you’re walking and chatting with a friend or your family this time can fly by. If that isn’t enough, try going uphill such as hiking up a mountain or uphill in your town, it’s great for your butt and legs and you lose even more calories.
2) Swimming. Fun and refreshing, at the pool or the lake, wherever your friends and family go during the summer, and yes it’s a great exercise. Swimming puts resistance against your body when you move. This may not seem like much, but in reality swimming is one of the best activities for exercise out there. Resistance on your muscles and joints works your body harder, it cools you down so you don’t feel hot and tired and you’re having fun!
3) Dancing. Dancing of any kind is amazing exercise. Take a class or get a dance video, you’ll be shocked how much you sweat and burn off dancing. Why do you think dancers have such great bodies?
4) Sports. Of course this is obvious, who doesn’t want to go pay soccer or something with their buddies on a nice summer day? Try a friendly game with the family for an hour and see how much you sweat then!
5) Sex. This is a major workout and all the hormones are pumping to keep your body going. Not only is this an amazing work out but you’ll be pumped up for a real work out afterwards.
