Wasted Money & Crazy Ab Machines
Article describing how and why people are wasting money on ridiculous ab machines.
So today my mom asked me to assemble some package she ordered from QVC and inside basically their was a little red stool that spins with very little resistance.
After seeing my mom’s folly I’d like to let people know they shouldn’t waste money on stuff like this. 29.95 plus shipping and handling will NOT get you abs, trust me. And I am saying this from experience, I was the pudgy guy for a lonnng time.
Anyway my point for today is that machines like this will not give you a six pack unless you are extremely skinny in the first place, and something tells me that skinny people aren’t ordering this. Simply put these machines work your ab muscles and make them stronger but it is a complete waste of time and money because:
a- they don’t burn a lot of calories. Honestly, you should never look that happy doing an ab or core workout in general.
b-these machines can actually build ab muscle, which if done without fat loss will actually make your gut seem larger without losing the subcutaneous fat above the abdomen.
Just think about it, large football players like linemen and so forth are far stronger then us in every muscle on their bodies, but you will never see Warren Sapp with a 6 pack because..well he’s huge and there’s sufficient fat covering his muscles
Getting abs is by no means easy, but it is cheaper then these machines and it just takes time.
To get abs you only need to know one thing BURNT CALORIES=BURNT FAT= ABS
Here is the simplest AND most effective guidelines I have ever come across
- Eat less calories
- Burn more calories (this is best done with cardio work i.e. running, biking, jumprope, swimming etc)
- After you begin to see the fat loss then worry about building those ab muscles since that is when people, and most importantly you will notice it.
