Theory of being alone in the world.
What if I told you that you are the only person in the world? Think about it. Us, as human beings have 5 senses: sight, taste, touch, smell and hearing. Now here is where my theory comes into play. If you relay all those senses back to the brain, they make up what you see, hear, taste, smell, and feel. Now take away those 5 senses and what becomes of reality as we know it, just you. Let’s say for instance, a friend is in the other room. you know that but are they really there in the other room? Not that you would taste someone, especially if they are in the other room nor want to smell said person unless they smell nice because of a perfume or a cologne they happen to be wearing. For the remaining 3 senses, you can’t see that person and you can’t hear that person and if you are in another room, then you can’t touch that person either. So, theoretically, how do you know that person is there? In this theory, I imagine it like an RPG game where the map is black and until you do whatever it is you have to do in the game its black. Nothingness. Without the 5 sense organs we have, none of us have any proof that the person is there, in the other room until you might hear them or until you go into the other room and physically see that person. Without the senses how do we really know what’s real and what’s not. Do we have to be around people, places, and things for them to be real, tangible?
As soon as all our senses are gone from an area does it then cease to exist and turn to black like in RPG games? Can we by then, default, control our senses and go even further down the rabbit hole, our own reality? If we had an understanding of the mechanics, could we conjure up our own personalized realities? If by some chance, since this theory can’t ever be tested to know, that means I’m not even writing this because if the theory is right, to you, the reader, i don’t exist and none of what I’m writing exist either. You are the one making this real.
