Tips on preventing back aches or scoliosis.
Back pain is a frequent complaint among adults now a day. This is sometimes due to overworked muscles that have to cope with wrong posture. Not attending to this can lead to other spine problems like Scoliosis.
Here are tips for taking care of your back:
- Walk tall, sit up straight and don’t slouch
- Replace furniture that cause back discomfort. Look for comfortable chairs sofas and others that has aback support
- Help support your upper body by developing a strong abdominal and back muscle
- Staying in your ideal weight helps avoid straining your spine
- Distribute the weight evenly on both arms when carrying heavy bags
- Sitting too long puts a greater load on the lower back. Make sure to stand up and move around
- Bend your knees and not your waist, keep the load close to your body and lift without jerking
- Stay fit and active. Exercise can help stretch shortened muscles and maintain mobility of joints.
