Can Microwave Ovens Cause Cancer?
Paranoid myth or possibility? read on, the answers may surprise you.
According to researchers over a span of several years,
microwave ovens may in fact be unsafe.
It is believed by many to be merely paranoid myth, but is it really?
The following may surprise you.
While research has shown that not all radiation is immediately detrimental,
prolonged exposure may be risky. The most risky form of radiation is ionising radiation.
The Question:
What sort of radiation is produced by microwave ovens?
Answer:
Non-ionising radiation.
Question two:
Can Non-ionising radiation cause cancer?
Answer:
In low dosages it may confuse cells, but will not alter them, so low dosages are not highly harmful.
High dosages of any form of radiation over a long period may be harmful.
My advice, use with caution.
While it is unlikely that microwave ovens cause cancer,
they have been outlawed in Russia for a number of years.
Research is on-going,
I would recommend cooking food by stove or open flame as opposed to microwaves.
In this busy world, the temptation to “nuke” your food in a microwave
may be appealing. I say quick and easy may not always mean safe or healthy.
If you must use a microwave use it sparingly not because of sheer laziness.

I have been concerned about my microwave. I tried the test of placing my cell phone in the microwave and calling. It rang with the door closed. Than there’s the question of the health risk posed by talking on a cell phone. .
Nicely written, Jupiter. Thank you for sharing your concerns.
