Causes of Dark Circles Under The Eyes

Dark circles beneath your eyes can be a very embarassing blemish on your face.If we can just point out the factors which cause these, we might be able to prevent and correct them.

 

Causes of Dark Circles:

* Age:

With the preceding age the skin under the eyes becomes thinner and veins under the eyes become more prominent.

* Fatigue and lack of sleep:

Fatigue and lack of sleep can cause reduced moisture within the skin but can also increase swelling.The effect is so instant that it can cause the skin to appear instantly aged after even as little as one night without adequate amount of sleep.

* Stress and depression:

* Nutrient Deficiency:

A lack of vitamins and protective nutrients in the diet can also manifest itself as dark circles under the eye.People who do not take in adequate fluids, have dehydrated skin, causing dark circles.Therefore a balanced diet would not only make you feel good, but look good as well.

* Hyper pigmentation:

This will obviously have its toll.Mostly it is a genetic condition.But some adverse side effects of drugs can cause this as well.

* Sun exposure:

Skin under the eyes is one of the most exposed areas of face, sunlight reaches here and causes UV rays to absorb, causing the burning and damage associated with under eye circles. It also causes dryness, leading to under-eye circles.

* Some other important factors include:

-Excess use of drugs and medication;

-Certain medical conditions;

-Hereditary;
