Coconut Oil: Boost Your Energy Levels, Lose Weight and So Much More

Always on the look out for new interesting healthy choices, I decided I wanted to learn more about coconut oil. I’ve heard several people talk about it, but I’ve yet to really investigate and incorporate it into my life. After conducting the research, I plan to start using it this coming week.  Check it out for yourself, this article explains many of the great benefits coconut oil provides.

Hair Care

Do you wish you have shiny healthy hair? Do you suffer from dry scalp or maybe your child just caught some not so nice critters from a day at school, coconut oil can save the day.

It has been known to help hair re-growth, repair damage, relief dandruff, and keep your head free and clear from any unwanted visitors. It is used in many hair care products. Regularly massage coconut oil in your hair and you’ll not only see the difference, you’ll pleasantly feel it.

Skin Care

Use it for preventing dry, flaking, sagging, and the harsh affect of time on skin. It is a wonderful choice to use as massage oil. It is also helpful in treating eczema, dermatitis, and other skin infections. Many lotions, creams and soaps already wisely add coconut oil to their formulas to help keep your skin as healthy as possible.

Healing

Do you have an infection or a bruise? Conveniently, coconut oil speeds up the reparation of damaged tissues. It also forms a protective chemical layer shielding infections from bacteria and dust particles that can further cause irritate an infection.

Digestion

Maybe you have a sensitive stomach? Coconut oil actually helps prevent digestive and stomach related problems. Through its unique makeup, it can fight off various fungi and parasites that cause indigestion. It also helps the body absorb important nutrients like amino acids, minerals and vitamins.

Weight Loss

Did you know that coconut oil contains medium-chain fatty acids that are known for being very effective in weight reduction? It increases metabolism removing pancreatic stress allowing more energy to be burned by the body. It promotes healthy enzyme and thyroid functioning and is easy to digest. In fact, coconut oil is the favored choice of athletes and dieters because it contains less calories and its fat content is absorbed into energy much easier than other oils.   11. Great Article! All of this is actually true, especially the weight loss section. I used coconut oil for weight loss and have loss over 10lbs. doing so. But of course that included diet and exercise.
