Get Your Body in Tune with Your Mind
Trying to get back into to shape or to just get there for the first time, you not only have to exercise your body, you have to exercise your mind also. Here are simple tips to get both into shape.
Trying to start a new exercise program, or to get back into one, is very frustrating. Doesn’t matter if you have done it before, or if your are starting for the first time. First thing you need to do is get your mind working. To get it into your head that you are going to do this one-step-at-a-time, and not put to much pressure on yourself to do it perfectly. To stop procrastinating and finding excuses not to start. The way life is busy these days, it doesn’t seem like we can fit anything else into our already tight schedules. Between work, family, and all the responsibilities that we have, it seems impossible to stuff anything thing else in. But that is the beauty of making your own exercise regimen. Due to the different kinds of exercise out there, and so many possibilities to find times and types of exercise, we can fit it in when and how we need to. Either we do it in the comfort of our own homes or at our local gym. We have so many ways to get fit and healthy.
First and foremost before we get our bodies in action, we have to get in the right mindset so we don’t sabotage our efforts before we even get started. Tell yourself that your not going to do it perfectly, and you most likely will fall of the wagon a few times before you get it down. But nothing is worthwhile without a little hard work, or maybe a lot of hard work. Don’t let that discourage you. Just know if you fail for that day, or even two. Just know that you can pick yourself right up the very next day and get back on track.
I don’t care who you are, your going to have fall-backs, your going to have difficult days to where you don’t even want to “think” about going for a run. But it will come back to you. Just get it in you head that it’s not going to derail your efforts forever. Keep it in your mind that you want to do this for your health and for ”you”, and you will keep yourself on track. Especially when you start to see the results of your efforts. Then it will make it that much sweeter to go for that run that seemed impossible in the beginning.
