Health Benefits of Loving and Being Loved
Love provides good health and boosts the immune system.
To brand oneself without being in love or having loved once is utter hypocrisy. Everyone falls in it and why the effort to elude its trap when it makes us feel good after all. Many people have almost spent their lifetimes in search for the meaning of life and only to find it out when they were in loved. Sounds corny but, its one of the highest truths on earth.
Anyway here’s another supreme reason why anyone has to love and be loved. Love has turned out that it does not only help us find life meaningful but it does hold sort of built- in way of maintenance for the holder. It provides good health and boost immune system. Here’s the following health benefits of loving and being in loved found by many scientists and medical researchers from various academic institutions around the world.
- Since 1979, the National Longitudinal Mortality Study has been studying more than a million subjects and found that unmarried people are being outlived by the married ones. Moreover, married people have been found to have lower cancer rates and unlikely to suffer pneumonia than singles.
- Also, researchers from the University of Iowa found that ovarian cancer patients with happy and gratifying relationships develop more white blood cells which are desirable in killing cancerous cells
- Researchers from the University of Pittsburgh found that happily married women have very much lower risk of cardiovascular disease than those in stressful and troublesome relationships
Hence, for those who are in love let us pursue it to the end. And to those holding at variance principles and philosophies in life, make a contemplation on it. “Let us stay in love, its good for our hearts” I often heard around corners, which is beyond question.

I am 50 years old. I have loved an lot of people. No one has ever loved me. I’m tired of trying. If that means I will have a shorter life, then great. The only problem is, I’m the healthiest person I know.

Two people fell in love without expecting to when I was 49. I was one of the two. I am 55 now, and I know that love has kept me strong and made me want to live. It has given me a reason to get up every single morning, and strength to fight my illnesses every single day. It is the same for my beloved, though they live far away. We cannot live in the same country, but we can come together every few years, and talk every day. The finest love I have ever ever known. I have no doubts.

Loving someone and being loved is so important and not just in ‘partnerships’, it’s my son who is my whole reason for me and making my 90 year old gran smile makes my day. Another great post.
