Nutritious Banana

Bananas are native to tropical Southeast Asia and likely to have been first domesticated in Papua New Guinea. Bananas are grown in at least one hundred seven countries. It is commonly name for herbaceous plants of the genus Musa and for the fruit the produce. It comes to variety of sizes and colors when it is ripe. Banana has yellow, purple and red colors.
Banana is rich in:
- Potassium
- Calcium
- Magnesium phosphorus
- Iron
And also, it is good source of:
- vitamins A and C
- thiamine
- riboflavin and niacin
- pectin (a soluble fiber)
Bananas are rich in fiber in which absorbs water giving you a full feeling and great for those trying to lose weight. It is also a good fuel for the brain because the potassium helps you to concentrate and think clearer. The potassium in banana is best fuel for the brain.

Banana as food and other uses, like:
- Banana cue
- Banana cake
- Banana chips
- Bananas are steamed in glutinous rice wrapped in a banana leaf.
- It also made as jam.
- You can cook banana in boiled water.
- Banana hearts (in Tagalog “puso ng saging”) are used as a vegetable.
- The leaves of bananas are often used as disposable food containers or as plates.
- Used as a wrapping for grilling food.
- And of course, the leaves are also used as umbrellas.

- Reduced risk of colorectal cancer
- Breast cancer
- Renal cell carcinoma
