Sleep, My Dear, Sleep
Sleep is wonderful but when you cannot sleep, it is a totally different story.

“Sleep, my dear. Sleep.”
“How can I sleep, when you are not sleeping?”
“The problem is I cannot sleep.”
“Why?”
“Because I simply cannot sleep. Maybe I have slept too many hours. Maybe I just have too much to think about.”
“Then, I shall sleep while you sleep with me.”
“Ok.”
*Sigh*
“I would lie down next to you and watch you sleep.”
“That should be helpful.”
*Sleep*

I was still awake. I cannot sleep tonight and this is not the first time. There were many nights that I hardly could sleep. When I finally get some sleep, I would be awake in the next 2 hours or so I thought.
What do I do when I am awake in the middle of the night?
- I might read some blogs from my phone. Yes, I do go online on my phone.
- I would switch on my laptop and go online to work, to read, to write or simply to browse through stuff.
- I would lie in the bed closing my eyes and start to fantasise about all sorts of things.
- I would browse the internet while nibbling on something. Chocolate or biscuits.
How to sleep better?
This is what I have found through my research.
- Sleep according to schedule. I wish I could do that but unfortunately I have a very weird sleeping schedule.
- Self hypnosis. I guess this is also similar to fantasising.
- Look out the food and drinks before sleep. Oh yeah, I would be eating stuff before sleeping but no caffeine whatsoever.
- Dark room. Yeah, I am in a dark room every night.
- Exercise. Ugh, I hate this. I have been doing all the housework all day, I guess that would be the same.
- The doctor (if everything else fails). This is not for me, definitely. I hate going to the doctor. Is there any special method you use to fall asleep? Alright, going to catch some sleep now. Maybe not.

Good articule. Alternatively, there’s always sleeping pills.

Sleeping pills are not the best solution to that matter. Sleeping pills are only effective for a short while but can never cure the problem.
