Top Five Reasons Why I Hate My Allergies
I really hate my nasal allergies, in fact I hate all my allergies, why wouldn’t I? Why shouldn’t I? Who enjoys the congestion, the headaches, the dryness, the itchy skin, the watery eyes, it’s miserable. This is my little ranting top five list of why I hate my allergies.
Reason Number 1
Nasal congestion to me is one of the most annoying and frustrating things in the world. I breathe 99% of the time through my nose so when I am trying to think or concentrate and I can’t even breathe right, I get really peeved and it affects my work and attitude.
Reason Number 2
Itchy, burning, watering eyes are another part of my allergies and when my eyes get all itchy and burn then start to water, it’s not only unpleasant it’s embarrassing, I generally get lots of looks out of it from people and then the questions start to flow: “What’s wrong with your eyes?’ “Are you ok?” “Is anything wrong?” and generally I get frustrated out of the situation and embarrassment and my frustration only rises.
Reason Number 3
Headaches, headaches are awful, annoying, and don’t help a thing, especially when you’re busy. My allergy headaches last hours on end and generally aren’t gone long before they come again, allergy induced headaches are just a never ending cycle of frustration, like allergies in general.
Reason Number 4
The dryness that comes with my allergies, dry throat, dry skin, it’s not due completely to hydration people, because even if I drink eight or more glasses of water a day my nose, mouth, throat, skin and everything in between is uncomfortably dry and it doesn’t help my eczema either.
Reason Number 5
This is the best reason I have for hating my allergies, if the others didn’t seem like good enough reasons to write this rant, then surely this one will. Reason number five: no allergy medication I’ve ever taken has effectively worked on me. Honest, none ever has. I’ve tried Claritin, Allegra, Flonase, and everything between, over the counter, prescription, store brand, name brand, you name it. Nothing has ever effectively stopped my allergies.
