World’s First Full Face Transplant in Spain
Oscar was the first person from Spain in the world to undergo a transplant of the whole face.
A young farmer from Spain was the first person in the world to undergo a transplant of the whole face, for the first time since the operation appeared in public, At a press conference to mark his discharge from the hospital he thanks to the doctors and the donor family.
A young farmer from Spain was comes on his own face five years ago, when he accidentally shot. Since that time alone he was not able to breathe and eat. During his twenty four operations in March, doctors attached a new face, including nose, upper jaw, cheek bones, muscles, skin, teeth and eyelids.
Now he turns to drink soft drinks and eat food, and the last two months he is now also able to speak. Partial facial muscles can move and acquired emotion in most parts of the face. A good sign was the fact that the week after the operation had to shave because his beard grew but such thing not yet fully close his eyes.
Hospital medical team boss Joan Barrett said that the patient will need physical therapy for a year to 18 months and then he expected to again dominate 90 percent of facial features.
