GALES Best Bitter, a brewery which has been based in Southampton for 155 years has long used the promotional slogan.‘Beer is an all-round food containing a balanced package of nutrients and minerals and can be considered to make a positive contribution to a healthy diet.’
Some ignorant, ill-informed, interfering teetotaller complained to the Advertising Standards Authority that this statement was misleading and irresponsible.
