Compounding Training for Pharmacy Technicians

Pharmacy technicians are looking for ways to advance their skills and make more money. One way to do that is to become a compounding technician. Compounding technicians can be found working in hospitals, home infusion centers, clinics, compounding pharmacies, and for pharmaceutical companies.
Online training is available but to really get some feel and expertise concerning the nature of the work one needs to do the hands- on component of the training. Books and materials exist but finding hands on training for pharmacy technicians is very difficult to find.
In the hands on training you learn the measurement tools, the math, the safety, the use of compounding tools, material handing, sterile and non sterile technique. Without these hands on training it will be very difficult to find a compounding position.
A number of people have inquired about this training the only place that I was able to find in the United States was the Northeast Compounding Institute in MA.
Compounding technicians do make more money for their training and expertise.
