Health Care Reform

Barrack Obama, the first African American to be elected president of the United States. Unfortunately, he has become a leader during a very difficult time.

The Situation

During his presidency, President Obama needs to reform health care, decrease our dependency on oil, and overall, improve the economy. Unfortunately, he is facing several challenges such as the loud republican party, that is disagreeing with anything and everything he is trying to do, and the American people, who have somehow think that the new health care will “pull the plug on gram ma”. Also, this health care plan is viewed as Communism. Reforming health care is NOT communism (explained in HEALTH CARE REFORM.)

Health Care Reform

Unfortunately, many Americans think that reforming health care is communism. IT IS NOT. The new health care plan, called The Public Option, is affordable health care, its benefits are like medicare, and is planned to COMPETE with other health care/ insurance companies. The Public Option is AN OPTION. Meaning that you don’t have to sign up for it if you don’t want to. My words are similar to what the democratic senators said just a few months ago, and President Obama, is working, to better the lives of ordinary Americans. The Republican party criticizes this as Communism. If Obama wanted to give ice cream to every single person in America, it would immediately be labeled communism. “Its Providing the people of America with food!” shouts the radicals that disagree with everything, “just like communist China!”. “A house and job for every American” “No!” comes the answer, “that’s communism!”

  1. The bottom line is, approximately 45 million Americans do not have health insurance, this is a serious issue that needs to be sorted out, something that Obama’s public option aims to do!

  2. Correct, and I totally agree with you.
