Nurses Order: A National Health Service for the United States
A National Health Care System for the United States will be cheaper and superior to the current model. It will provide health care for all residents of the United states. Yes, I mean all residents of the United States. It will improve life expectancy, infant mortality, work performance and the qulaity of life index. So go for it America. The pharmaceutical industry, Doctors and the Insurance Companies are looking after their interests and they want to continue with the status quo.
A National Health Service for all of the people of the United States by the people of the United States for the people of the United States in is unimaginable by the Right Wing of the United States. Yet it is a caring service which is long overdue. Can you imagine doctors as civil servants earning $80,000 per year and having to give equal weight to what Registered Nurses say or suggest? Of Course not! Doctors are used to write orders and they expect nurses to carry them out. If the orders are not carried out then an Incident Report must be made and the Nurse must explain why the particular ORDER was not carried out. I am a Registered Nurse and the well being of all populations is my personal interest. Until I have focussed on caring for the sick person and have published many articles on how to care for an individual patient. The pharmaceutical industry, doctors and insurance companies are opposed to a health care service because they cannot charge the prices they want or the fees they want. Their defence is usually, “Quality of care will decrease or you will lose the right to chose your doctor.” These are moot issues. In all countries with Health care systems the life expectancy is higher than the US and individuals have the right to chose their doctors. Special interest groups are driving their own agendas. If there is a National Health Care System then the insurance companies will have nothing to sell. This is the bottom line. They cannot rip off customers for their profits.
