Wisdom of THE Blood Consumes Prohibiton in Islam
Say (O Muhammad ): “I find not In that which has been inspired to Me anything forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it, unless it be Maytatah (a dead animal) or blood poured forth (by slaughtering or the like), or the flesh of swine (pork, etc.) for that surely is impure, or impious (unlawful) meat (of an animal) which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allâh (or has been slaughtered for idols, etc., or on which Allâh’s Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering). But whosoever is forced by necessity without willful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits, (for Him) Certainly, Your Lord is Of Forgiving, Most Merciful.”(Surah Al-An’am, Ayah 145)
In Islam, Prohibition consume blood has been described in the Qur’an and Hadith. For Muslims, every commands and prohibitions which have been established by Allah Subhannahu wa Ta’ala must be obeyed and followed, because there must be a wisdom that is contained therein. And part of this wisdom that can only be revealed in this time, where science and technology has developed rapidly.
Chemical analysis of blood shows that it contains a high of uric acid which can poison the human body. This compound is released as filth, and in fact 98% of uric acid in the body removed from the blood by the kidneys and thrown out through the urine.
Prohibition consume the blood also associated with the special procedures in the Islamic slaughter, i.e. by cutting the animal’s neck veins and let the other organs intact. And this causes the death of animals due to loss of blood and not because of injury to any vital organ, because if the organs such as heart, liver, or brain injured, the animal is also able to death instantly, but his blood will clot in the veins and eventually contaminate meat. This causes uric acid contaminated animal flesh and making it poisonous.
