Aspirin: Not Only Good for Relieving Pain

Aspirin is not only good for reducing the effects of headaches, but rather helps in a number of symptoms. Here is a list of the various uses of Aspirin.

  • If you have a green thumb and your plant have a fungal problem grab a liter of water and dissolve a aspirin tablet and water around the plant but be sure not to make it to strong as the aspirin could burn the plant.
  • Want those beautiful flowers from your special someone to last longer?  Before you put them into a vase add a tablet to the water it will help keep your cut flowers light up the room for longer
  • Mozzies attacked you? Or got a nasty bee sting? Wet the bitten area on your skin and rub a tablet over.
  • Got some sweat stains you want to remove? Add 2 tablets to half a cup of warm water pour it over the strain and let it sit for a few hours the strain will disappear.
  • Woken up with an ugly big red pimple? Crush up an aspirin put a small amount of water to create a paste like substances and apply it to your pimple, it will reduce the redness and shrink down the pimple.
  • Do you suffer from dandruff? Crush 2 tablets and add it to your normal shampoo apply it to your hair and leave for roughly 2-3 minutes and rinse.
  • Ever been swimming and noticed your hair turning colour? Try added around 8-10 tablets to a glass of water and pour over your hair leave it in for about 10minutes and rinse, wash hair afterwards as usual.
  • Got the smokers fingers? Add a dissolved aspirin to a dash of lemon juice on your fingers and it will remove the yellow strains (no this doesn’t work for your teeth!)
  • Kids been playing in the grass and have grassed stained clothes? Try an aspirin tablet and dissolve it in a dash of lemon juice it will help remove the stain.
  • Have a problem with keloid scars? Crush a few tablets up and mix in with water until you get a paste mixture dab onto the scar and leave to sit for no longer than half hour.  Do this daily to see results
  • Having problem with athlete’s foot? Mix 2 or 3 tablets with some talcum powder and apply twice a day.
  • Is baby teething or you have a sore tooth? And got nothing but aspirin? That ok use baby aspirin to set over the gum and it should ease the pain.
  • Crush up a few tablets and make a paste mixture to help with the removal of warts apply this daily.
  • Using the crush method it can also be used for thickened, scaly and flaky skin.
  • Did you know that Aspirin can be used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and some other rheumatologic diseases?
  • Also early studies have shown that it can treat migraine, colon, ovarian and breast cancer it can improve your brain function it can prevent clogging of the arteries in the brain as well!

So what is it in the aspirin that help with all these thing I hear you ask?

Answer is salicylic acid is something that is naturally in wintergreen leaves and sweet birch, which is a white crystalline substance with a bitter aftertaste. It’s the main ingredient in many house hold products as well as medical and beauty products!

I’ve had some comments on this article suggesting that I have stolen it from another member, I would like to say in my defence that I did most definitely not steal and change the content around. I have to say that after reading the person’s article there is alot of similarities but I learnt most of these ideas from researching in how to fix my partners keloid scar. These tips can be found on LOTS of different websites if you google it but I did not intentionally take and change someone elses article. In saying that I would like to put a link to the person’s article which I apparently took this from. I am greatly offended that someone could accuse me of something so horrible with all the time and research I put into writing this article.
