Home Remedies That Use Garlic
Garlic is one of the most popular medicinal herbs and can be used in many ways to protect against, or to treat, many ailments.

Here are a few home remedies that use garlic:
To ward off colds
Take one garlic capsule three times a day to improve your immune system and to keep you generally fit and healthy.
For coughs and bronchitis
Garlic syrup is a popular folk remedy. Pour 600ml of boiling water over 60g of finely chopped garlic. Allow to stand in a sealed container for ten hours. Then add honey until a syrupy consistency is formed. Take a teaspoonful up to three times a day. The garlic syrup acts as an effective expectorant.
For sickness or diarrhea
To relieve yourself from stomach problems, take two garlic capsules a day. This is also helpful if you’re going abroad, to protect against stomach upsets caused by change of diet and climate.
For sore throat or voice loss
Try eating a single clove of garlic three times a day.
To reduce blood pressure
Take between one or three capsules of garlic three times a day with water. However, make sure that you also seek medical treatment for the condition.
Many people are embarrassed by having the odor of garlic on their breath. Capsules, which dissolve in the stomach and intestines, are less pungent than raw garlic. Another way to reduce the aroma is to chew fresh parsley after eating garlic.
