More then 90 % of headaches are how ever caused mainly by tension, a few simple home remedies can help ease or even cure headaches.
Here are some home treatments;
- Rest in a quiet and dark area, light can often cause even more pressure, so dim lights if you can’t get to a dark room, and lower blinds
- Reduce productivity, the more your brain and body are working and moving the more pain you will have
- Have a lukewarm bath, do not use scented bubble baths, shampoos or soaps these may make the headache worse
- Drink water, or re-hydrating drinks
- Laughter is also a great way to relieve any stress, tension and even pain
- Try a cold compress, or cool cloth
Try this:
Peppermint cold compress
Put a few drops of peppermint oil onto the damp cloth and apply to painful areas for about fifteen minutes, this will help relieve pain
Or:
A Horseradish Poultice
Add a small amount of water to finely grated horseradish, wrap it in a cloth and apply to neck area for no more then five minutes. This will stimulate the skin and relieve pain, however if you have sensitive skin spread cream on before applying the poultice. Remember no more then five minutes….
One More:
