How to Deal with a Hangover
Different suggestions for coping with a hangover.
Have you ever woke up after a night out with a hangover that just won’t go away? Have you tried to take Advil or perhaps have another drink to cope with the symptoms? Here are a few suggestions for running away that nasty hangover.
- Drink fruit juice. Fruit juice contains sugar called fructose which helps the body naturally burn the alcohol faster. Try a large glass of orange juice or tomato juice to help accelerate the removal of alcohol still in your system.
- Eat honey and crackers. Honey is high in fructose, eat a little in the morning after a night of drinking is a great way to flush the alchol out of your body.
- Ibuprofen. A headache is the worst part of a hangover. I recommend taking aspirin or ibuprofen but, nothing stronger as the acetaminophen is great for a hangover, but, the habituates found in higher prescription drugs could make your hangover worse.
- Willow bark is a natural alternative. It contains natural salicylic which is active in aspirin which becomes active as you chew willow bark.
- Bouillon broth helps replace the salt and potassium that your body lost when you started drinking.
- Have just 2 cups of coffee. 2 cups is recommended to reduce the swelling of blood vessels that cause headaches. But, drinking too much can give you the alcohol jitters.
- A balanced meal will replace nutrients back in your body. Avoid fatty or fried foods as these could upset your stomach.
- Last but certainly not least TIME is the foolproof cure for a hangover. Over a course of 24 hours while you have a hangover sleep works the best. Sleeping off your hangover and all will be forgotten you will feel back to your normal self.
