Lemons Are Not Just for Making Lemonade
Lemons are good for cleansing you inner and outer body.
I bet you thought that lemons were only good for lemonade, there are several thing you can mix with a lemon that can be used on our beautiful bodies and also in our bodies.

Lemon Cleansing
Lemon cleansing was originally developed by, Stanley Burroughs in 1941. Some my refer to this regimen as Master Cleanse. Even though created by Stanley Burroughs, Peter Glickman introduced lemon cleanse in his book, Lose Weight, Have More Energy and be Happier in 10 days. Peter Glickman’s book actually promoted Burroughs regimen to a modern audience. Master Cleanse is suppose to removes toxins out of the body and prevent cravings. No solid foods are eaten through the entire cleansing. A study by Dr. Sumil Patel, says that the cleansing operates as a placebo and has no health benefits. Singer/Actress Beyonce used the cleanse for 14 days and lost 22 pounds for her role in DreamGirls.
Ingredients in Lemon Cleanse
Lemon cleanse was created with 4 simple ingredients:
1. 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
2. 2 tablespoons organic maple syrup (grade B)
3. Small pinch cayenne pepper
4. 10-14 ounces of pure water
This concoction sounds like something that you could mix together yourself, “please don’t”. Before using Master Cleanse you shoud consult your physician to make sure it is safe, and will not have any harmful effects on your body.

Lemons have also been used as a beauty-aid, yes this golden coloured fruit can enhance your looks. Lemon contains enzymes which cleanses the skin of dead cells. Try sprinkling a little alum on a lemon and apply the mixture to your face.
Did you know you can use lemon for treating hair loss and grey hair? Use the lemon as a rinse after you shampoo.
When it comes to teeth, lemon can be used as a whitener. Rub a half of lemon with some salt and a pinch of baking soda. This will whiten your teeth and prevent bad breath.
My favorite thing to make with lemons is lemon meringue pie, which is a great desert and full of vitamin C.

The next time you pass a lemonade stand just remember it does quench your thirst, but it’s good for so many other things too.
