The Best Solution for a Funky Foot Odor
Will anti-smell insoles cure your stinky feet?
Insoles can mask minor odors, but they won’t sole every pungent problem because they don’t eliminate the cause. Smelly feet can usually traced to otherwise harmless bacteria that grow in the warm, moist conditions inside your shoes.

Deep-sixing your stench requires an all-out onslaught against bacteria.
- Each morning, scrub your feet with an anti-bacterial soap and thoroughly towel off your tootsies. Then coat your soles with thin layer of ten percent benzol-peroxide cream; it’s usually ultra effective at beating the bacteria that cause foot odor. But be forewarned: The cream has a bleaching action than can remove color from socks and hose.
- Another option is to lightly spray your feet with an underarm anti-perspiratnt containing aluminum chloride or aluminum chlorohydrate. Though not as effective as benzol peroxide, it fights off the sweat that helps bacteria blossom. If your fee are still foul after trying these moves for two weeks, see a dermatologist.

Good article. I’ve also heard that soaking feet in a bowl of mouthwash (Listerine) for 10 minutes will do the trick. Don’t use the mouthwash afterwards.

This will be a big help for my brother. Well for the rest of us really, because he doesn’t seem to have a problem with his smelly feet. Where as it makes the rest of us Gag & he finds it funny to be honest with you. But then he’s not awake when i come down the stairs & i’m almost vomiting because of the smell.
