If You’re Hospitalize ,Know Your Rights : Patient’s Bill Rights

Ignorance of the law excuses no one. Let us we aware of our rights and privileges even as patient in a hospital we do have rights.

Health is wealth . Good health can’t be bought over the counter. Let’s take care of ourselves. There are really times where  our immune system got low because of so may distressing factors  ,so many pressures that somehow contributes for one to get sick. It can’t be prevented no matter how careful we are  ,still we will get sick , so no choice for one ,  have to be hospitalized. Being cared and cured by the medical staff is not enough , one must know his rights as a patient. Let us not be ignorant .Let us be aware of our rights as a patient because there are some medical practitioner who are abusive and reckless. 

Life is one only ,very fragile ,one false move you will be dead or situation be worsen . To prevent such many inwards incident one must be aware of his rights.P

PATIENTS BILL OF RIGHTS

*The patient has the right to a considerate and respectful care.  - It means that a patient is entitled to an acceptable standard of care and to a consideration during the provision of that care. It also means that the patient has the right for an explanation about what is happening .the why and when and the opportunity to participate in planing whenever this is feasible.

* The patient has the right to obtain from his doctor complete current information about his diagnosis , treatment and prognosis in terms the patient can reasonably expected to understand. When it is not medically advisable to give such information to the patient it should be made available to an appropriate person in his behalf. He has the right to know , by name , the doctor responsible for coordinating his care.

*The patient has the right to receive from his doctor information necessary to give informed consent prior to the start of any procedure or treatment. Except in emergencies , such information for informed consent should include but not necessarily be limited to the specific procedure or treatment , the medically significant risks involved  and the probable duration of incapacitation.Where medically significant alternatives for care or treatment exist , or when the patient requests information concerning medical alternatives , tha patient has the right to know the name of the person responsible for the procedures or treatment.

  1. It’s important to know your rights, but for me I had rather trust the doctor to do the right thing because I don’t know what it is.
