Long Term Effects of Tylenol?

This explains some health concerns with taking Tylenol.

Tylenol, we all know it as one of the most known brands of over the counter drugs that there are. But do you know what Tylenol can do to you over a period of time? Did you know that it has negative side effects that cann affect anyone? Now I’m sure almost 95% of us have taken Tylenol before and many of our parents say that it isn’t good for you. Well once agian your parents are correct. Though tylenol may relieve your headaches and make you feel slightly better it is better just to wether the storm until it’s over.

Tylenol contains a substance called acetaminophen, which is the main problem causer in these tablets. Tylenol has been linked to higher chances of getting asthma and it has also been credited to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or COPD for short. Around 13000 participants took part in an experiment from 1988-1994 on the effects of tylenol. These participants were constantly using Tylenol to void their sickness and of these 13000 participants about 7% had gotten asthma, 12 % had COPD and 3% had contracted both of these disorders. It is evident that Tylenol was the most likely cause of this. Therefore it brings me to say that Tylenol may look like a good short term use but in the long run it’s going to have much bigger negative impacts than you can imagine. Not to mention that these two side effects are only two of the several side effects that may exist as a result of taking Tylenol.
