According to the definition of the chest cavity is a cavity in the human body, animals and other organisms protected by the chest wall.  Chest wall is formed by the chest muscles, fascia and skin.  It is located right at the base of the neck and the ends of the floor.  There are several organs in the chest cavity, some of which are truly essential for life.

The organs in the chest cavity

The other body cavities for the cavity in the chest cavity.  This cavity is surrounded by a serous membrane, and excludes clear fluid or serum.  The part passes the serum is called parietal pleura.  As this serous membrane is in the lungs is called the visceral pleura.  When the same membrane of the esophagus, great vessels and heart, called the mediastinal pleura.  Because atmospheric pressure is the pressure between the parietal and visceral pleura low.  This leads to friction between the membranes in which the lungs expand and collapse during breathing.  This friction is reduced due to the presence of serum secret.  The two major vital organs, including the chest cavity and lungs.

The cardiovascular system is in the chest cavity.  It also contains large blood vessels such as aorta, pulmonary artery, upper and lower vena cava and pulmonary vein and azygos vein.  The next important organ in the chest cavity is the respiratory tract.  This includes lungs, trachea and bronchi.  Then comes the digestive organs.  Yes it is true that most of the digestive organs are located in the abdominal cavity.  Only the esophagus is present in the cage system.  This is the long muscular tube that carries food to the stomach.  Thymus gland of the endocrine system is also in the middle of the chest.  Although less important in adults, is the largest gland hormones in children.  In addition, the thoracic duct, part of the lymphatic system present in the chest cavity.  Some organs of the nervous system, ie pairs of the vagus nerve, and few sympathetic strings is also considered as part of the chest.

The thoracic cavity is divided into small cavity called the pleural space and mediastinum.  Pleural cavity is present in the lungs and mediastinum is the central part of the chest cavity.  This includes all the organs in the chest cavity.  This section is divided into the anterior chamber, middle and rear.  However, this information is only necessary, experts working in the human anatomy.  Chest cavity can not only protect vital organs, but also helps to breathe.  Chest around ribs protect the organs and also helps to expand and collapse the lungs during breathing.  This was some information about the chest cavity.  I hope that helped you better understand this other body cavities.
