Stitches on Skin

A song I wrote off the top of my head. Looking back it seems a lot like divorce.

You once lulled lullaby’s to me
When I lied to you
Back when pigs flew
Back when I was blue
I always knew you’d grow old to be new
I always knew I’d sue
We will probably be like this forever
Stitches on skin, apart to be together

But it’s fine with me
And I assume that it’s fine with you
We can’t get back to paradise
Back to rare heights
I’m a pretzel legged criminal
And you float with two faces
We will probably be like this forever
Stitches on skin, apart to be together

Like a jigsaw puzzle on the sea floor
Broken and unclear
Sunset winds winding within me
Waves crashing, trucks on a highway
My way has many martian arrows
Mansion heros seperated by bone marrow
We will probably be like this forever
Stitches on skin, apart to be together

Apart, but close
Keeping the wound closed
