Symptoms of ADHD:

  • Disturbance Learning Difficulties / Learning Disorders: dyslexia, Dysgraphia
  • Anxiety disorders / Anxiety (25%): Panic attacks, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Torrette syndrome.
  • Clinical depression: more frequent on the type of “inattentive”
  • Opposition Against Disorder / Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD): 35% ADHD, headstrong, quick to anger, fighting, do not obey & fight when ordered.
  • It is difficult to give attention to the little things,
  • often make mistakes that need not happen on school work
  • It’s hard to focus continually time to complete tasks or play
  • Often seem not to listen
  • Often unable to follow instructions and fails to finish schoolwork or other tasks
  • Often difficult to manage tasks or other activities
  • Often refused or did not like the task that requires constant attention
  • Easy to switch attention by external stimuli
  • Often loses things necessary
  • Often forget to complete daily tasks

ADHD consists of 3 subtypes:

  • inatensi type, the ability to maintain attention on one activity, or ability to concentrate
  • hyperactive-impulsive type
  • mixed type.

As a result of ADHD:

Negative:

  • Accused of being “crazy, lazy or stupid” (crazy, lazy, stupid)
  • Often forgotten & delay task
  • Clinical depression predispose
  • Confidence is very low
  • Difficult to participate regulations / laws
  • Many difficulties in school
  • Frequently change jobs & job
  • Easy addiction / addiction

Positive:

  • Creative & Innovative
  • Flexible
  • Lots of energy & productive
  • Willing to take risks
  • Intuitive to the hearts of others
  • Sensitive & want to help
  • Genial & Faithful to a friend
  • Working hard to please others preferred
