Anger Headaches

Nothing is worst than a pounding headache. Many people are unaware that their splitting headache can be the root cause of something more than a hectic day of at work. Pent-up anger can actually give you a headache.

Nothing is worst than a pounding headache. Many people are unaware that their splitting headache can be the root cause of something more than a hectic day of at work. Pent-up anger can actually give you a headache. Recent studies show that bottled-up anger is the biggest predictor of headaches. They are more of a common trigger than anxiety and stress combined. If you are one of those millions of people that suffer from headaches often you should consider how you deal with your anger. Do you get all worked up? Do you let it whatever bothered you build up inside?

The anger itself is not what literally causes the headaches, it is the way you handle it. This doesn’t mean you should scream and cuss people out everytime you become mad. Instead, you should take a few minutes to collect yourself. Go on a short walk to calm down. Or express your feelings in a composed, nonconfrontational way. Think about the situation or conversation that angered you. If the situation was beyond your control, take a deep breath and let it go. Anger never improves any situation. Getting angry won’t help, and it won’t change what happened. It only causes the situation to magnify and you will end up with a side-splitting headache as a result.
