Anxiety- Reasons and Solutions

Anxiety relates to various problems. Many factors contribute to its manifestation. It can be anything, work pressure, a divorce, loss of a loved one, delayed promotion, the possibilities are endless. It assumes different angle to different people.

What causes anxiety?

 

A total lack of confidence and trust aggravates your feeling of anxiety. You should build up your self confidence. Your level of confidence will definitely increase if you start liking yourself. Yes, start liking yourself. Every human being God created has some unique talent within himself. Fine tune that talent and watch your self confidence vibrate. This vibration will quell anxiety in a telling manner.

Say no to negative thoughts.

Negative thoughts beget negative results and its end product is anxiety. Control your thoughts when they deviate towards negative aspect of anything. There is going to be a full stop to everything, be it good or bad. Take my example. I had been through a traumatic period in my life when my husband was down with renal failure. Imagine having your loved one bedridden, fighting a lost battle against a dreadful disease. When he passed away, I became neurotic with anxiety about my only daughter. If she had cold, I will worry it was something more than a cold. If she was late from her school, my anxiety will drive me mad. I will be imagining the worst possible things as to the reason for her being late.

I was once very cheerful, but after the death of my husband I started acting typically like an anxious person, always keyed up. My daughter was the most affected person because of my anxiety. She told me she felt the loss of her father even more because of my frenzied behavior. I felt a pang in my heart and I made a mental resolution not to bow down to sorrow. My husband was within me, I have not lost him. He will give me the inner strength to tide over my sorrow, I told myself. Believe me, this feeling has made me a lot more confident and I am back to my normal cheerful self.

Develop mental detachment.

 

Your anxiety is not going to get you anywhere. Mentally and emotionally detach yourself if anything that affects you happens. If you do not get your expected promotion, do not lose hope and work even more harder, develop your skills and promotion will embrace you. Have you lost a dear one? Let your loved one exist in your heart and visualize him as being with you.

Meditation is another factor which will ease your anxiety. Spend some time meditating and you will feel yourself unwinding. You brain becomes clear and this clarity makes you see things in its right perspective. Always inter act with persons who see the right side of life.
