Child Abuse: The Real Threat

Many people are unaware of what’s happening in the world right now. Many children all over the world are being abused even as I write this article.

I have been seeing many people worried about children addicted to games and the computer but is this the time to be Worried about this minor stuff. Think about it, many times it is the parents who are abusing their children in many ways. Some include providing insufficient physical and emotional support for their child or even educational, by not enrolling them in a school. Some children are even sexually and psychologically abused.

Most parents abuse their children because of addiction to drugs like heroin or alcohol. In all cases the child suffers psychologically. This will scar them for their entire lives. Adult depressive symptoms are most commonly linked to child hood abuse, usually sexual. Many adults now suffer physical problems because of abuse. The likely targets for sexual abuse are small Girls. When they grow up, one study showed, that 38 percent do not remember anything about being abused.

Research has shown that most people who were abused tend to forget because their mind seems to “push out” the memories and try to forget. A different study showed that “amnesia in 12 murderers, with “objective evidence of severe abuse, obtained in 11 cases” . This shows that even some murders are related to abuse

One study showed that people who abuse their Children were, in many cases, also abused when they were Children.

There is treatment for this kind of Trauma. Many people use therapy. There are many therapy programs available, including treatment for Trauma. Some of these treatments are for Child and Parent. They try to improve the relationships among families to prevent any further abuse.
