Get over the heavy feeling with these basic steps.

You might be one of those heartbroken individuals who are currently going through tough times. Tough times include crying at night, waking up to a sombrous morning, fearing gloom afternoons, always feeling anxious and hopeless and worse, wanting to die.

Before you make a bad move, I have prepared a list of easy-to-do’s which promises a peaceful way out of sadness.

Go Out

Most often, when depressed, your energy and enthusiasm go bankrupt, reason why you’d rather stay home than spend time with friends or even take a stroll at public parks and malls.

Remember, the process of healing requires you to be your own therapist. Help yourself, get up and savor the sunshine. According to studies, depression hormones become more active in the dark or poorly-lit areas while exposure to sunlight subsides them.

If you have to, drag yourself out into the open and you’ll see what I mean.

Take Vitamins, Medication, Professional Help, or Exercise

One: Vitamins help rebuild your muscles, activate blood circulation, enhance nerve reactions and re-establish physical performance. This is one way to get out of boredom as you are fueled to do the things you lack muscles to do.

Two: If you feel that you can no longer contain your emotional burden and it seems like your thought always tell you to die and go to hell, you might as well go to a psychiatrist and she will assist you in your recovery.

Three: The therapist could recommend the appropriate medications according to diagnosis and evaluations. You will get better through this but the aftermath could be as scary as being dependent on the prescribed drugs. It’s your choice, though.

Four: Exercising and meditation is like tuning up your mind, body and spirit. If your flesh machines are in good shape, there’s a definitely great chance of getting back to normal. Try Pilates or yoga, simple breathing and stretching at mornings, long walks, aerobics and workouts, dancing, or anything that flexes the muscles. On the other hand, this can also mean using your talents or hobbies in more productive ways. Otherwise, enjoy it and discover more about what you can do with your time and your brain.

 Talk Therapy

Make a phone call. Have a nice afternoon conversation with your mom or sister or brother. Visit a long-lost friend and update each other. Enjoy any topic under the sun; even the most nonsense news will do to busy your mind. Your goal is to absorb some new stuff other than “hurt”, “pain”, “failure”, and “loss”, and other negative thoughts. Besides, it’s the perfect time to bond with the most important and not so important persons in your life.

 Surround Yourself With People

Socializing or even merely watching every person or couple or family or groups of friends pass by somehow gives us bits and pieces of how wonderful life can still be after all. Have some time alone with strangers around, yet are familiar
