Stress is a condition when you feel that you are overloaded and become unsure about the way to handle the pressure of a problem. When your body faces a threat or stress, the body creates a response to either run from the situation or fight it. These kind of instant responses are dependent on the sympathetic nervous system that reacts within no time. When such spontaneous actions are needed, some amount of the chemicals known as adrenaline and non-adrenaline and cortisol generate alertness along with an advanced heart rate, sweating and heightened muscle preparedness. These factors facilitate the protection in a hazardous situation.

Besides, the non-essential body operations slow down which include the immune and digestive systems during the fight or flight response mode. The sudden changes can also bring about rapid blood flow, rapid breathing, alertness and muscle use.

Some of the most common symptoms that have been recorded include the rise in blood pressure, rapid breathing along with a rise in the pulse rate. The muscles become tense and you seem to gather the strength to overcome some of the toughest jobs that require greater muscle power. The heightened state of alertness leads to the lack of sleep and the person may seem confused. Due to these changes, the digestive system slows down along with the immune system.

The type of responses may be different in different individuals. This is due to the reason that every individual do not interpret a situation in the same way. Hence the methods adopted to cope with the situations may be unique. Besides, every individual does not posses the same skills and resources.

The stress can be dealt with by opting for the stress management techniques, medicines or some of the home remedies. The home remedies may include exercises, division of labor and assertiveness. The alcohol and drugs can help you forget the stress and the caffeine in the coffee can cut down stress. Apart from that a proper nutrition, breathing, professional help and various relaxation techniques can help you to overcome stress.

Therefore many of the different methodologies can be adapted to manage stress.
