Learning Disabilites

What is involved and what are the symptoms.

Do these terms sound familiar, ‘I know he can do better, he’s just not tiring hard enough’, ‘Why is my child struggling, and so behind his school work’. This is all too common in our world today; a lot more people are getting Learning Disabilities.

Symptoms:

So what are the symptoms and how do you know that your child has Learning Disability, where it is true that if you know how to detect it, then you have no problem, but what about if you are unaware of it and don’t know what to do. Firstly if you see any indication that your child is struggling in some way then do not leave it, do something about it. The earlier you detect it the better it is for your child, if you do leave it the problems and the struggle your child has will just worsen, Where as if you detect it early then you can take measures to help your child.

Symptoms can come in various ways, the most common are educational skills for example, maths, reading, writing, however there are symptoms that you might miss if you don’t know what they are. For instances there are others for example, fittingness, lack of order (being messy in ones room), lack of concentration are just some, also hyper activity. Now I know that when you look at some of these symptoms you might think ‘well my child has all them but doesn’t have learning disabilities’ yes I would agree you on that one. This is why you need to take considerable time with your child and makes sure that they are the symptoms of learning disabilities or not.

Conclusion:

Sometimes this is not always called learning disability; there is another name for it called learning disorder. Also remember that your child is not stupid and it is not based on the level of intelligence, sometimes people with this disorder so to speak are very intelligent indeed. It can not be fixed quickly or at all for that matter; unfortunately it is a long life problem however with the correct methods and help you will be able to cope.
