Mercy Ministries, Urban Angels

Self harming is a growing problem and when people thought that it was just girls who did it, there are males who do it too.  People self harm for comfort, which is difficult to understand.  It is a struggle.  It is a cycle of self abuse.  Those who do it feel trapped.  They need help.  At worst, it can lead to suicide.

This is a way forward.  Matthew 25:40 states  “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me,’” and the girls find mercy through this ministry.  Young women who have been abused and who are hurting find help there to come to terms with their past bad experiences.  They give them a chance to re-build their lives. 

Mercy Ministries provides a safe environment, life skills training, help with things like money management and they don’t charge for this.  It is all provided free by the charity who have homes all over the world.
