Sometimes depressed people also feel guilty, worthless, unable to think clearly and unable to make decisions. Depression is connected tightly with the imbalance of chemical in the brain. Some experts say that each person can manifest the depression in the different physical conditions.
To overcome the physical symptoms. Although the symptoms are severe, most people who experience depression does not realize if they are depressed. Often they do not realize that these physical symptoms are caused by depression. Even the doctors sometimes do not realize this.
In several cases, doctor treats depression with therapy or medicine (antidepressant) or both of them. This action will overcome the physical symptom. However if we are depressed, it is better to explain our physical conditions to the doctor. Don’t assume that the physical symptoms can be disappeared by itself with antidepressant. Most probably several problems will need further medication. For example the doctor may give us a certain kind of medicine to end our insomnia or gives certain kind of medicine to overcome our stomach problem.

Yes. Those were the symptoms exhibited by a man sued by his wife for violence. In this particular case, the depression was caused by obsessive jealousy.

Since depression is an emotional response (no less real for all that), the things we become depressed over may vary. (Kairos, interesting case there.) The question becomes then, is it causal depression (sadness, job loss) or clinical depression? The latter has no specific cause, and will affect all other parts of the sufferers life.

Wow, depression causes a lot of health issues. That in itself must cause even more stress, and thus more depression. It’s a vicous circle.

Hi Eunice,
I suffered depression on and off for many years but never realized it was depression back then. Borned a pessimist (I’m of melancholic temperament), I’m very prone to it but since I took a turn to improve my spiritual life, it helps tremendously. Afterall there’s no point of paying lip service to God if I don’t put his commands to practice
. Anyhow, it’s a nice and straightforward article.
Cheers!
