Assessing own health through simple measures of life-style.
World health organisation has define health as a state of complete physical, mental ,& social well-being,& not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
The study of epidemiology forms the basis for understanding the prevalence & incidence of diseases within the population.It elucidates the determinants or the causal factors related to diseases. Demographic patterns, genetic inheritance, & life-style influence the patterns of disease occurence in particular individual groups.
Human disease does not occur randomly, & therfore one must always exercise for preventive measures. The related factors ,such as nutritional intake, stress, fitness & body graphs can be assessed.
Nutritional intake- Notify the eating habits, regular breakfast & meals timings, check for habitual snacks intake, how often visiting restaurants & food centers,adequency of fliud intake -water, beverages, & loading with additives ,such as soft drinks, tea, coffee, commercial & canned foods.
Stress symtoms- stress estimated at home, work, & especially teenagers stress,delivers complains of headache, high blood pressure, acidity, irritable bowels,& insomnia. Some provoke with indulgence & dependancy for alcohol, smoking, & drugs.
Fitness & body graphs- Check for exercise activities, stamina judgement, sports activities ,flexibility of the joints etc. Measure for fat or overweight with respect to the height given.
Following simple rules of life-style;
1. Live fit & active life
2.Eat nutritious food.
3. Avoid stress both mental & physical
4.Avoid addictions & dependances (alcohol, smoking, drugs)
5. Have periodic medical checkups
6.Take proper safety precautions( road accidents, occupation, safe sex ,etc).
